I will always remember
The way you fell for me
Not like autumn leaves
That drift from a tree
More like a roadblock
That I could not budge
Or a padlock
That I could not nudge
I said No
But you wouldn’t go
You dropped your love
Smack dab in my way
So I stopped trying to run
I sat down and filled up
And gave up
To love
Now your love
Is with me
As I go through each day
Thanks for the love
And the way
