When God wakes up in the morning
If there is a God
Does she listen to so many
Who start the day grumbling and complaining
And say to herself
What is wrong with you people?
I gave you a body
Most of you have decades to use it
I gave you
Places to go
Things to do
Ways to grow
People to love
And yet you wake up
Complaining again?
Then God puts her head in her hands
And chuckles
She looks up and smiles
And sends love
And angels
They’ll learn
I hope they’ll learn
